The 6.0L Powerstroke is capable of TONS of power through simple upgrades. The key ingredient to unleashing this power is via tuning calibrations, and one of the best platforms for this is through the SCT X4.
Custom Calibrated Performance For trucks that are primarily stock, the default tunes that come standard in SCT's X4 programmer work very well. However, for those that have modified their trucks with larger injectors, bigger turbo, or any number of other upgrades, it becomes crucial to upgrade to custom tuning that is truly tailored to the particular vehicle. Further, for those that merely want to truly push the limits of the truck's capabilities, custom tuning can deliver where the default files could best be described as "subtle."

This allows you to read and clear engine diagnostic codes for on the road troubleshooting. Use the included LiveLink data logging software to keep track of your engine's performance.
NOTE: All software including the Device Updater is not Mac compatible. A PC with Windows Vista/7/8/10 will be required.

Gearhead Automotive Performance is based out of Bryan, Texas and has one goal in mind: to create highly refined engine tuning for Powerstrokes with superior customer service. They are a small, personal shop that originally made their claim to fame by writing some of the most powerful, efficient tunes for 7.3L's. Since then, they have not forgotten about their 7.3L roots, but have expanded into tackling and mastering the 6.0L and 6.4L's, as well. What most drivers will realize first after loading a Gearhead tune into their truck is the lack of smoke output, while still being incredibly powerful. Unlike many of the competition, they absolutely refuse to build "smoke tunes" and focus a great deal of their energy towards as little smoke output as possible from even their highest horsepower tunes, creating an equally impressive and properly tuned engine.
