Description

Flexplates handle an immense amount of rotational forces and torque. Factory flexplates are usually iron and stamped steel in the 6.6L Duramax from 2001-2019. When you increase engine power output, the stamped steel can't transfer the additional torque, the steel cracks, or suffers total failure by ripping the center of the plate out. This can be extremely dangerous but, fret not because our friends at SunCoast Performance offer a Billet Flexplate that is machined to be stronger and more reliable than what the factory offers. By installing a billet steel flexplate in place of the factory's stamped design, you have more material to handle the increased torque load, allowing the transmission to shift harder with less slip.
