Description
These 5" systems upgrade the factory stamped steel radius arms to a high strength 4-link offering improved handling, stability, strength and caster control during wheel travel. The 4-link brackets are built from 1/4" steel and key off the factory frame bracket and transmission crossmember for extra strength. A forged drop pitman arm and heavy duty track bar relocation bracket are supplied to correct steering angles and recenter the front axle. Also supplied for the front are bump stop extensions to limit suspension compression, sway bar drop brackets to correct the sway bar positioning, and brake line relocation brackets. Additionally a high clearance transmission crossmember is supplied. In the rear of these 5" lift systems BDS offers the your choice of replacement rear lift blocks or replacement GlideRide leaf springs. Either option will level out the stance, the spring replacement has the added benefits of an integrated overload leaf for additional load capacity. FOX 2.0 Performance Series - Fox 2.0 performance series shocks have been tuned and tested by both Fox and BDS Suspension to maximize performance specific to each application and to every BDS Suspension system. The basic shock design is based on proven Fox Racing Shox race products, but re-designed to maximize the ride quality, handling, and control of your BDS equipped truck or jeep, whether on or off the road. FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series - Need to kick your suspension up another notch? The FOX 2.5 Performance Elite Series greatly expands your off-road capabilities and how much punishment your shocks can take. Made with external reservoirs to keep your shock oil away from high stress and higher temperatures, the elite series shocks are part of a suspension that will handle whatever you throw at it. Comes with easy adjustments to switch between different terrains, load and speed. IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTES:
  • Fits Diesel models only.
  • Ford recommends replacement of the pitman arm nut after each time it has been removed.
  • Use a small pitman arm puller to remove the drag link joint and steering stabilizer taper.
  • If your truck is equipped with a factory rear sway bar add: BDS123808
  • If your truck is equipped with a 2-piece rear driveshaft, a Carrier Bearing Drop Kit may be required: BDS123402.
  • Due to taller factory ride height, Tremor models will not net full advertised lift height. Final ride height will be the same as standard models.
  • Larger tires on stock wheel are not recommended due to brake line clearance required. Use recommended specs listed in wheel and tire fitment section.
  • The indexing ring is only compatible with 10 speed transmission trucks. Please verify your truck's equipment before installing. Transfer case indexing ring will not fit 6.2L vehicles equipped with the 6R100 transmission.
  • Indexing Ring has NOT been designed to work on manual shift transfer case models. Modification to the shift cable mount will be required.
  • Installation requires a torque wrench capable of 405 ft-lbs.
  • Some trucks with a rear driveline vibration may have a recall from Ford regarding the rear axle. (Safety Recall 21S31) Due to the recall procedure, BDS recommends to have this performed prior to installing the lift.
  • Due to factory ride heights being lower on 2020 and newer model year trucks, the net lift you will gain with this kit will be 1" more than advertised. (EX. 4" kit will net 5" of lift)
About BDS Suspension

BDS Suspension was started in 1996 by a business group who felt it was past time to create a suspension company that truly had the best interest of the off road consumer as its' foundation. With over 45 combined years experience with other major suspension companies, both buying and selling, the individuals that would make up the BDS name were frustrated by the lack of quality and the unwillingness to make things right by these 4x4 companies. For BDS, its simple, if it breaks, they'll replace it, and that is the motto in which they have based their entire warranty off of. So, they welcome you, try and break it, if you do, they'll replace it and probably try to determine a way to increase the rigidity of the product to ensure it never happens again.
