Description
Greater lift on your truck gives you what you always wanted: more options. With more ground clearance, more tire fitments, and more ways to personalize, it's time you give your Ram some added altitude and a whole new attitude. The heart of this system is the 4-link conversion that replaces the factory radius arm. Key benefits to doing this include increased stability, wheel travel, and improved handling across all terrains. The 4-link design limits caster change to less than 1 degree of change throughout wheel travel for better handling, steering control, and overall driveability. Included are a pair of massive frame-mounted brackets precision welded and engineered to locate the new upper and lower control arms to create the optimal suspension geometry for late-model RAM trucks. The 4-link brackets are fabricated from 1/4" thick steel and wrapped around the frame as well as the factory radius arm brackets to create an extremely sturdy mount for the new arms. Removal of the factory radius arm brackets is not required allow the brackets to stay intact to speed up the installation time and make these kits reversible. The upper and lower control arms are built from 2" OD x 3/16" wall DOM tubing for the strength to take any abuse you can throw at them. They utilize large 2.5" OD polyurethane bushings to isolate road vibrations and are formed inward to allow for extra tire clearance while repositioning the front axle slightly forward for increased tire clearance to the backside of the front fenders when turned. These arms are finished in a durable textured black powder coating and use grease fittings for easy servicing. The additional front height comes from a pair of specially designed progressive rate ProRide coil springs. The 4" coils have been engineered and tested to improve the ride quality and performance across all terrains while holding up to the rigors that 3/4-ton truck owners demand. A heavy-duty track bar relocation bracket is included to recenter the front axle once lifted as well as a forged drop pitman arm to correct steering angles. Sway bar relocation brackets are used to reposition the front sway bar assembly and the supplied brake line brackets allow for the easy adjustment of the stock lines to be reused with the lift kit. In the rear, 1/4" steel, 3.5" tall gusseted air bag spacers are used along with a rear track bar bracket to correct axle positioning, extended length sway bar links, and bump stop extensions. BDS supplies new air ride leveling sensor brackets to position the ride height sensors at the stock angle. This allows the rear suspension to be performed just like it does at factory ride height and maintain full airbag range of motion. The rear suspension is rounded out with your choice of NX2 series or FOX 2.0 shocks.Shock Options Choose between NX2 Nitro Series or FOX 2.0 Performance Series for your kit. NX2 Nitro Series: Nitrogen-charged Twin-tube design 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving Dual-welded ends for increased strength 1-3/8" high-flow piston Self-lubricating seals Silver powder coat finish FOX 2.0 Performance Series: 2-inch Impact extruded aluminum body Internal floating piston (IFP) monotube design CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mounting ends Massive 5/8-inch hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel shaft Race-developed high-flow piston design Application-specific valving to maximize performance Long-lasting clear anodized finish Sway Bar Disconnect This kit allows standard Ram heavy-duty trucks to enjoy the added articulation of a disconnected sway bar. The new sway bar links are made from a 7/8" solid steel bar and feature greaseable, high-misalignment polyurethane bushings. All mounting hardware is included for simple, bolt-on installation. The disconnect pins are made from stainless steel and make disconnecting easy via the removable pin clip. A set of lanyards with easy-to-grip buckles is included in the kit to retain the sway bar when disconnected. This kit also includes standard mounting hardware that can be installed in place of the disconnect pin for those who want a fixed-mounted link. Adjustable Track Bar The upgraded track bar allows for quick and precise tuning ability for re-centering the rear axle. In addition to the improvements in strength and adjustability compared to the stock track bar, it also provides better control of the rear axle by replacing the soft factory rubber bushings with high durometer polyurethane at the frame and a forged COM bearing joint at the axle. Both ends are rebuildable and the poly bushings are greaseable. Can be used with or without track bar relocation when needed for heights of 0-8". Technical Features: Steel tube construction, 1-3/4" x 1/4" wall DOM Fully welded, greaseable frame mount end uses high-durometer polyurethane bushings The Frame bushing sleeve is knurled to bite into the mount, creating a non-slip connection Steel forged adjustable end threads into precision machined, fully welded thread insert The forged end has a fine 1" thread for fine-tuning adjustment and strength High load capacity COM bearing insert has an injection molded race for long life and quiet operation COM bearing inserts are precision machined for exact fit and mimic the stock bushing width for use in the factory mount as well as any relocation brackets designed for a stock bar

OPTIONAL TRANSFER CASE INDEXING RING KITS:
With added lift comes additional leverage on your transfer case, which can lead to driveshaft vibrations in certain conditions. The best way to alleviate this issue is by installing an indexing ring that lowers the departure angle of your driveshaft. These trucks could have two different configurations, a 6 bolt and an 8 bolt. Beyond physically inspecting you can determine which is right for your truck based upon what transmission you have. For 68RFE automatic transmissions and G56 manual transmissions, they'll use a 6 bolt, but the Aisin equipped automatics will require the 8 bolt.
About BDS Suspension

BDS Suspension was started in 1996 by a business group who felt it was past time to create a suspension company that truly had the best interest of the off road consumer as its' foundation. With over 45 combined years experience with other major suspension companies, both buying and selling, the individuals that would make up the BDS name were frustrated by the lack of quality and the unwillingness to make things right by these 4x4 companies. So, they set out to create a suspension company that would be the best and made a list of the things they felt were not right and made it their mission to correct them.

One of the most important of these wrongs they were looking to right were that of other companies warranties. Too often, the standard protocol was that a broken or damaged part from another manufacturer was denied warranty because of abuse or neglect. For BDS, its simple, if it breaks, they'll replace it, and that is the motto in which they have based their entire warranty off of. So, they welcome you, try and break it, if you do, they'll replace it and probably try to determine a way to increase the rigidity of the product to ensure it never happens again.

BDS LIFT KITS

While most people whom have heard of BDS Suspension automatically think of "lift kits," that ony touches on the wide variety of suspension and steering related products that BDS offers. BDS understands that not everyone is after a complete lift kit, but still after the quality BDS products bring to the table. Some of our most popular products from BDS are replacement adjustable track bars and dual steering stabilizer kits that in many instances can be installed on a completely stock truck, or one that's leveled or lifted. Other popular "non lift kit" parts are leveling kits that include upgraded shocks, progressive rate coil springs, heavy duty control or radius arms, and even leaf springs.
