Description
One of the most failed components on the front end of your heavy duty Ram is that of the track bar. And why wouldn't it be, its responsible for ensuring your front axle sits squarely under the frame, and with the amount of weight sitting on top of it due to that heavy Cummins engine, that's a lot of stress. And especially for those of us that have lifted or leveled the front suspension, its even more tasked. Fortunately, BDS Suspension has a great option thats built substantially stronger than the stock unit it replaces, plus its adjusable. This means that it can properly center the front axle on trucks with 0-3" of front end lift, and when used in conjunction with a track bar relocation bracket, will work on lift heights of 4-6". Constructed from 1-3/8" solid steel stock, this adjustable track bar is built to handle on and off-road abuse and uses a 1-3/8"-12 fine threaded pinch bolt design turnbuckle to allow easy tuning to properly recenter the front axle for a range of lift heights. The track bar is formed for proper clearance around critical front end components and features gusseted ends for additional rigidity. The ends utilize high-durometer polyurethane bushings with thick-walled steel sleeves for strength and reliability. Parts come with a high quality black e-coated finish for a great look and excellent corrosion resistance.

About BDS Suspension

BDS Suspension was started in 1996 by a business group who felt it was past time to create a suspension company that truly had the best interest of the off road consumer as its' foundation. With over 45 combined years experience with other major suspension companies, both buying and selling, the individuals that would make up the BDS name were frustrated by the lack of quality and the unwillingness to make things right by these 4x4 companies. So, they set out to create a suspension company that would be the best and made a list of the things they felt were not right and made it their mission to correct them.

One of the most important of these wrongs they were looking to right were that of other companies warranties. Too often, the standard protocol was that a broken or damaged part from another manufacturer was denied warranty because of abuse or neglect. For BDS, its simple, if it breaks, they'll replace it, and that is the motto in which they have based their entire warranty off of. So, they welcome you, try and break it, if you do, they'll replace it and probably try to determine a way to increase the rigidity of the product to ensure it never happens again.

BDS LIFT KITS

While most people whom have heard of BDS Suspension automatically think of "lift kits," that ony touches on the wide variety of suspension and steering related products that BDS offers. BDS understands that not everyone is after a complete lift kit, but still after the quality BDS products bring to the table. Some of our most popular products from BDS are replacement adjustable track bars and dual steering stabilizer kits that in many instances can be installed on a completely stock truck, or one that's leveled or lifted. Other popular "non lift kit" parts are leveling kits that include upgraded shocks, progressive rate coil springs, heavy duty control or radius arms, and even leaf springs.

Nice lift kit

"Install was easy, and it rides nice"

Popping noise

"Just had this installed on my 2020 ram 2500. Immediately heard the popping every time hitting bumps. The shop that professionally installed it said that I either got a bad track bar or the poly bushings are making the noise. Very frustrating. Would love to return and get a different design."

this is supposed to be

"this is supposed to be their fix for a weak track bar but this is my second one, The first one broke the bushing ring in half and I don't even get this truck dirty. just not to impressed."

Poor suspension and supply

"Hello diesel power products I received my suspension and fitted a couple of months ago on my project Ram. I order a 3 inch dual stage kit and first thing I noticed that I received a 2 inch lift for the rear. Shocks were for 3 inch but still not a 2 inch spacer with no notification. Secondly my suspension has been fitted for 2 months on my car which has currently not been driven. My front 3 inch kit raised front by only 70mm. Less than 3 inches. Today I noticed it’s dropped by another 25mm(1inch) given me a total lift of only 45mm. This has only been stored in my garage in winter(Australia 10 degrees C) and not driven. If anything I have removed weight off front end by removing torsion bar and EGR cooler. I’m disappointed in this product which has cost me over 4k Australian and not given me not much more lift than a worn factory lift Those orange stands use to fit under front chassis rail of bull bar when first fitted."

Go with the Carli Track Bar

"I ran this track bar for a brief period of time on my 2018 Ram 2500. One day out of nowhere as I was pulling into work, it snapped at the axle side eyelet. Glad I wasn't towing a the trailer with my family because it could have ended bad. I contacted BDS and they sent me a "newly engineered" design. After bolting it up and giving it a test drive I kept getting a popping noise from the frame side. I again contacted BDS and they said they would send me the "new bushings". Long story short I lost patience and confidence in their product. They have a long way to go on their research and development to make this halfway decent. I purchased the Carli Track Bar and it fixed all my issues. Go that route, you won't be disappointed you did!"

Q&A

So I bought my truck with a lift already on it, too tall for me. Is this all I would need to lower it?
That is a difficult question to answer. If that lift has changed brackets and things under the truck then more then likely no. I would recommend taking it to a shop that is familiar with 4x4 trucks and left and have them take a look to see what can be done. -Sands
Is this kit available without shocks? I recently installed brand new 5100’s that are longer than stock in case I wanted to upgrade from my leveling kit.
We can special order it without shocks if you think the ones you have will work. Last time I checked on it with BDS it only knocked off between 40-60 dollars. -Sands
Will this kit fit 2020 ram 2500 if not do you have anything for the 2020 thanks
I just checked on BDS's site and they do list that kit will fit the 2020 trucks. As long as it is coil spring in the rear and not air ride it will work great. -Sands
Could I get away with 20inch wheels paired with these?
Depending on what dimensions you are looking at and what tire size you have yes you can run 20's. -Sands
I Noticed on the install instructions for the BDS-695H BDS SUSPENSION 2" LEVELING KIT 14-19 RAM 2500, it says in step 24 it will require a offset stem eleminator bracket and bolt pack 946 for the rear with the fox shocks upgrade, is this included or do we have to purchase it from the BDS website.
When you upgrade to the FOX shocks, the bracket and bolt pack come with. -Sands
