Okay, so a 5" cat back exhaust without a muffler may seem abnormal for some, but truthfully, its actually a great system. For those that want to avoid the decibel level a traditional 5" turbo back system delivers, this option retains the stock catalytic converter which does a great job of reducing resonation in the cab under load. Built from only the highest quality aluminized steel and including all of the necessary hangers and clamps, this cat back system will deliver power, fuel economy, and a reduction in EGT's (Exhaust Gas Temperatures) while giving the truck an aggressive, yet smooth sound.

The muffler is packed with stainless steel wool which is then wrapped with a ceramic fibre blanket to ensure longevity of the muffler. While performance gains vary depending on the vehicle, you can expect a gain of 5% to 10% in horsepower and torque. For example, with a 2005 GM Duramax diesel, you will see a gain of 18 HP. and 28 ft/lbs measured at the rear wheels. You can also expect a reduction in exhaust gas temperature (EGT) by approximately 200 Degrees F.

"Very nice well made kit. Easy to install and sounds great. I elected to throw out the 4” saddle clamp and install a 4” lap joint band clamp at the catalytic converter. Pipes are too nice to deform with a saddle clamp. All the other 5” clamps and hardware in the kit are good quality."

- It will fit on the 4in pipe coming out of the back of the factory cat. And it will fit a Mega cab truck no problem. -Sands
