Minimize Backpressure
The secret to getting more out of your diesel engine is to give it lots of cool, clean air. The only way that you can get fresh air in is to get the hot air out. From the spiral louvered high flow muffler to the fully mandrel bent tubing to minimal bend degree angles, your MBRP performance system gets exhaust out fast. Drop exhaust gas temperature by up to 200°F and set the stage for all the performance you want. An MBRP performance exhaust system is the starting point to getting the most from cold air intakes, programmers, modules and downloaders.

The muffler is packed with stainless steel wool which is then wrapped with a ceramic fibre blanket to ensure longevity of the muffler. This combination creates the deep mellow exhaust note that MBRP systems are known for.
While performance gains vary depending on the vehicle, you can expect a gain of 5% to 10% in horsepower and torque. For example, with a 2005 GM Duramax diesel, you will see a gain of 18 HP. and 28 ft/lbs measured at the rear wheels. You can also expect a reduction in exhaust gas temperature (EGT) by approximately 200 Degrees F.

Worth the money and easy to install
"I’m very pleased with this exhaust. It rides a little close to the body making the stock hangars sit sideways vs. up and down, but it isn’t touching the body so I don’t really care. The system as a whole has made my Excursion’s 7. 3 feel more powerful under acceleration and looks the business as well. The truck went from just making a lot of engine noise (as the 7. 3 does) to sounding like it has a pair with a nice deep exhaust note. I’d recommend this system to anyone who has an Excursion and wants to wake it up."
Not impressed!!
"The description had me sold. Exhaust kit did not fit as said. Down pipe off the turbo was off set too much which threw the whole kit off so nothing would align to factory mounts. After working on it for several hours. I had to put the old exhaust back on. Then take the truck to an exhaust shop. It took them 5 hrs to put it on!! After driving the truck with the new exhaust system. I didn't feel or notice any of the described gains that were stated to come after the installation was completed. Overall it does look good once installed but that's it !"
