Constructed from high-quality cast aluminum right here in the USA, this heavy duty Trans Pan from PPE keeps your 2007.5-2024 Ram 68RFE transmission remarkably cooler than your stock pan. This dramatic increase in heat dissipation happens for two reasons; first the cast aluminum deals with heat in a vastly different manner than the stamped steel pan. Second, PPE designed the pan with large internal heat sinks as well as large external cooling fins--a winning combination of oil cooling features! Equipped with internal heat sinks and external cooling fins that put the stock pan to shame, the Trans Pan's surface area is vastly increased to help further the cooling process and dissipate heat substantially. To keep your fluid clean, the Trans Pan comes standard with PPE's exclusive high-powered 1 inch Neodymium magnet equipped drain plug--designed to pull harmful ferrous metal particles right out of the oil long before they have any chance of hurting your truck. Lastly the pan features two pre-tapped NPT ports for temperature probes (capped with a stainless steel plug when not in use) and PPE's new deep spin-on filter is included. PPE put this pan through the ringer testing it on a 2013 2500 Ram towing a 13,000lb trailer. They drove the rig and trailer combo on a 900-mile loop through city traffic, up steep hill climbs, and across wide open highway runs. Transmission temperatures never exceeded 200 degrees, and in high haul situations the pan cooled much faster than stock. Unloaded temperatures were consistently 10 degrees or more below the factory part.
