About Mel's Manufacturing Exhaust
Mel's Manufacturing has been building some of the best sounding, longest lasting, highest flowing, exhaust systems since 1981. They are truly innovators in constantly finding ways to improve upon the overall construction of their exhaust systems and components to ensure they can stand the test of time, no matter the environment they are in. For example, Mel's utilizes lap joint style clamps at most junctions, as opposed to u-bolt style hanger clamps that require crushing the joint to adjoin the two pieces. This allow you to disassemble the exhaust without the use of a Sawzall if the need ever arose. Further, their exhaust hangers feature a built in radius that follow the contour of the exhaust, allowing them to secure the hanger to the exhaust with a 6-7" weld, as opposed to a roughly 1" weld that would be required with an unbent hanger.

4" to 5" Cummins

"I wanted a new exhaust tip that would prevent Diesel exhaust from blackening the bumper. While I was at it I wanted a more beefy look. Got a bit deeper sound too. Looks great!"

Q&A

I have a stock 2016 LML. Will this pipe fit over the stock exhaust piping with cutting the stock exhaust pipe off?
It will require you to cut the stock exhaust right before it starts to increase in diameter. Once cut it is up to you whether you would like it welded or clamped to the stock exhaust. -Mark
45 degree 5 in ?
This exhaust tip from Flo Pro is a 4 inch inlet, with a 5 inch outlet that is angled at 70 degree's. - Mark
I have a 2007 dodge ram 3500 DRW my exhaust pipe is rusted away roughly 3-4" in from the end tip i wanna cut the pipe clean and add a tip that will work and also extend out a few inches to keep the soot off my paint will this work?
It should work just fine. That tip is 22 inches long overall. I would measure where you are going to cut and make sure that will be fine. -Sands
I despise my stock tip L5P 2018 3500. I am going to hack off the current tip right before the 22° bend and want a replacement chrome tip to clamp on. This is 22"" long and 4"" inlet which is a fit but depending on the actual bend ° will this clear the bed side and come out behind the rear tire?
I can't envision what your describing here. I understand what the exhaust tip on the factory truck looks like and completely agree with you. The clamp on exhaust tips can be rotated any way you would like them in order to clear. I would recommend cutting just enough off to see where you wanted the tip to fit before you cut it off all the way. Hopefully this helps, thank you for your question. Cooper
