MBRP offers many kits in both single and dual outlet configurations. While the performance gains are the same for duals and single systems, the duals offer a deeper more aggressive sound over the single system. This is due to the extra tail pipe and the fact that most dual systems have a slightly different muffler configuration than the single systems.

MBRP even manufactures their "Smokers" kits, which are single and dual in-bed STACK kits to deliver to the hardcore enthusiasts! These kits are available in an assortment of sizes and styles, such as 5" and 6", with turnouts and mitre (angle) cuts. Smokers kits are even available in the new popular BLACK finish for that truly sinister look!!!

The muffler used on all of MBRP's diesel systems is a straight flow through design with a spiral louver core. The muffler is packed with stainless steel wool which is then wrapped with a ceramic fibre blanket to ensure longevity of the muffler. This combination creates the deep mellow exhaust note that MBRP systems are known for.

While performance gains vary depending on the vehicle, you can expect a gain of 5% to 10% in horsepower and torque. For example, with a 2005 GM Duramax diesel, you will see a gain of 18 HP. and 28 ft/lbs measured at the rear wheels. You can also expect a reduction in exhaust gas temperature (EGT) by approximately 200 Degrees F.

"Just picked up this 5” exhaust love it so far only problems I ran into was getting the old get,DPF sensor and the pressure sensors out of the old exhaust just buy new ones to make it seem less. The 6” tip sits pretty close to the bumper so we will see if it gets to hot during regents but definitely changed the engine sound and can hear the exhaust a little bit nothing like a deleted truck but you can tell she wants to. Since I live in NE I put heat paint on it to help with the life span and prevent rusting"

Q&A

Does this system change the exit point of the exhaust? As in will it move the exit from the corner of the bumper to say behind the rear wheel so the exhaust goes out the side of the truck.
Take a look at the install instruction, specifically figure 5, this will exit close to the factory location and you can alter the tip location slightly. Thank you.
What are the HP and torque gains?
Every truck is going to be different as far as exact gains due to health of the engine and multiple other components but you can see a drop in EGT's (Exhaust gas temps) compared to your factory exhaust. -Mark
can I get a ,muffler with this and how much more
A muffler would not really be applicable to that system. Since it is behind the emissions. They are what kill all the sound. -Sands
With emissions staying on the truck do you have to get bungs and weld them on yourself for the sensors that sit over the axle? In the description it says manufactured without sensor bung connections.
I just checked MBRP's website and looks like they have updated their kit to include bungs now for the 2015 and up trucks. -Sands
Does this fit a gmc savana 6.6 v8 diesel enige? Or it takes some adjustment?
It would not fit the Van chassis unfortunately. I do not have one that would fit unfortunately. -Sands
