Description
Has your Superduty not felt too "super" recently? Maybe you crave some extra performance and capability with your truck? How about a stance that really lets you see the entire road and a performance upgrade to match? BDS Performance's 6" Lift Kit is a great way to get you ready for those BIG 36" tires as well as a height that really shows off your truck to the rest of the neighborhood. In the front this lift kit uses diesel specific glide-ride leaf springs, forged drop pitman arm and track bar bracket for steering correction, sway bar links, bump stop brackets and precision tuned NX2 or FOX nitrogen charged shocks. In the rear, choose your rear lift option between a block kit (with or without Overload) or a leaf spring so you can have a suspension that matches your needs at every level. GLIDE-RIDE LEAF SPRINGS Built to outperform, this kit comes with the Glide-Ride leaf springs into a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design that provides a smooth ride with any load. This is accomplished with an exclusive triple-stage leaf spring design. Upgrading to Glide-Ride leaf springs will provide flexibility throughout the suspension cycle. STEERING CORRECTION To optimize steering geometry once lifted, a forged drop pitman arm is used to minimize the steering angle and pair it with a heavy duty track bar drop bracket to keep them in phase through suspension travel while re-centering the front axle. FRONT U-BOLT TYPE These vehicles were manufactured with either square front U-Bolts or radiused front U-bolts. Typically, 1999-2000 are square and 2001-2004 are radiused, but that is not always the case. The radiused U-bolts aren't square or round, but rather have a gentle radius that matches a cast factory upper U-bolt plate on top of the factory spring. Vehicles manufactured prior to 2-28-99 require yet another different box kit due to a change in the factory track bar. Please make the appropriate selection for your particular vehicle. CARRIER BEARING DROP KIT A 2-piece rear drive shaft will require some extra work as the geometry of your drive system will now have some added stress. We recommend adding this carrier bearing drop to avoid any potential driveline vibration with the added lift height.

Tire Wheel Combinations:
  • 36" x 12.50" w/16 x 10 and 4" back spacing
Installation Notes:
  • Estimated Installation: 10 hours
  • Difficulty Level (easy 1 - 5 complicated): 3
Important Kit Notes:
  • These truck were manufactured with two different style front u-bolts. You will need to know if your front leaf spring u-bolts are square or are half way between round and square with a gentle radius around the OE cast u-bolt plate before ordering.
  • Vehicles produced before 3/1/99 require a different box kit. You must check the production date on the door prior to ordering.
  • The Superduty came from the factory with a 2", 3", or 4" rear block. If you wish to truly level your vehicle it may be necessary to change the rear OE block.
  • Will not fit dually applications.
  • If your vehicle is equipped with a carrier bearing, you will want the 123402 drop kit in the options section.
  • The front driveshaft will need to be lengthened and/or clearance ground depending on how the vehicle is equipped.

BDS Suspension was started in 1996 by a business group who felt it was past time to create a suspension company that truly had the best interest of the off road consumer as its' foundation. Too often, the standard protocol was that a broken or damaged part from another manufacturer was denied warranty because of abuse or neglect. For BDS, its simple, if it breaks, they'll replace it, and that is the motto in which they have based their entire warranty off of. So, they welcome you, try and break it, if you do, they'll replace it and probably try to determine a way to increase the rigidity of the product to ensure it never happens again.
