Description
For those unfamiliar with the Aero line of mufflers, they are a compact stainless steel muffler designed to be added to nearly any exhaust system that offers unrestricted airflow, while having unremarkable sound characteristics. The XL line of the AeroTurbines are considered their resonated version designed specifically to cancel out any in-cab drone that is typical of many aftermarket mufflers.SIZING 3.5" ID Inlet 3.5" ID Outlet 6" Body Diameter 26" Overall Length Built from T304 stainless steel inside and out, this muffler does not have any of the traditional packing found in many other mufflers that is known to breakdown over time, but rather uses a series of louvered baffles that are also designed to literally "suck" the exhaust away from the engine, even faster than a straight pipe, which results in lower exhaust gas temperatures.

About Aeroturbine
For us, there is no question what the answer would be for any of our staff if asked what our favorite muffler is. We have been AN Aeroturbine muffler distributors for over 10 years now and every truck in our parking lot has one of their mufflers installed. Aero Exhaust has been through some turmoil over the past couple of years, but they are BACK! And we are so pleased to be able to offer their superior muffler design again.

For those unfamiliar, these mufflers are designed to create an internal vortex in the exhaust to literally "suck" the exhaust away from the engine, reducing exhaust gas temperatures. Beyond this attribute, these mufflers create a unique sound, and when opting for any of the "XL" resonated versions, they are awesome at cancelling out any drone inside of the cab. And finally, the construction is a work of art. Built out of T304 stainless steel inside and out, without any of the traditional packing used by many other manufacturers that is notorious for breaking down over time.

Sounds great

"I put this muffler on my 06 6. 0 powerstroke and it has a very clean and crisp sound all through the rpm range with next to no drone in the cab"

Great frickin muffler

"Bought a 2010 F350 6. 4 that was straight piped. Truck was a fire breathing dragon that sounded like a fighter jet when towing hay. This muffler was easy to install and cut the dB to almost nothing. All you can hear is engine noise now and almost nothing out the tail pipe. Installed just before the rear axle with a sawzall and compatible clamps."

Ryan R. (5/5)

To noisy in the cab

This is the second Aeroturbine I've bought. . . .

"This is the second Aeroturbine I've bought. I love the first one which is a 4040XL(on another truck). Only complaint is that it developed surface rust after only 6 months and I am in NC with very little salt on the roads."

Leslie A. (4/5)

Q&A

Can this muffler be welded to the factory pipe as I don't believe the factory pipe is stainless?
Wouldn't recommend it, I would clamp it in. DppSands
