Description
For those unfamiliar with the Aero line of mufflers, they are a compact stainless steel muffler designed to be added to nearly any exhaust system that offers unrestricted airflow, while having unremarkable sound characteristics. The XL line of the AeroTurbines are considered their resonated version designed specifically to cancel out any in-cab drone that is typical of many aftermarket mufflers.
Built from T304 stainless steel inside and out, this muffler does not have any of the traditional packing found in many other mufflers that is known to breakdown over time, but rather uses a series of louvered baffles that are also designed to literally "suck" the exhaust away from the engine, even faster than a straight pipe, which results in lower exhaust gas temperatures.

MUCH Preferred over straight pipe
"Installed on a 6. 7 Cummins. I thought I really like my straight pipe (had it that way for 2 years). Although having a vgt with warmup in the mornings it is extremely loud for my neighbors. Also I never was a fan of the raspiness the exhaust had under load and we won’t talk about the drone when towing… I put this muffler on which is advertised as a “moderate” sounding muffler, and it lives up to that perfectly. At idle it is MUCH quieter than straight. The tone is definitely deeper off idle. The raspiness is totally gone and sounds REALLY good when getting on it. Totally smoothed it out. Drone is not 100% gone with this muffler but it is totally livable now. I think all around this is the best all around muffler on the market all things considered. I notice 50-100 deg cooler egts on average and slightly better fuel economy (1-2mpg). Can’t recommend this one enough!"

"The 5” open exhaust sounding great but was a bit to loud for me in the cab going down the highway. The Aeroturbine reduced the cab noise way down to where I wanted. But the great exhaust sound was still there in the back. Can still hear the Turbo and the exhaust break still sounds good. Highly recommend"
