Replacing the worn gearbox gives the steering system a fresh starting point and can make a noticeable difference in how the truck responds to steering input. The Steering Gearbox is built entirely with new components rather than being remanufactured, giving you a new replacement gearbox without the uncertainty that can come with a rebuilt unit. Its direct-fit design works with the factory pitman arm and steering shaft, allowing it to replace the original gearbox without changing the rest of the steering system. The power-assisted gearbox has a four-turn lock-to-lock range and is designed to provide the steering operation expected from the factory system.
