Designed as a brand-new, direct-fit replacement, the XDP XD758 replaces a worn factory steering box with an assembly built entirely from new components. It is specifically designed for Ford Super Duty models equipped with the wide-track front suspension. Over time, internal steering gearbox components such as the worm gear, sector gear, and bearings can wear from normal use, heavy towing, rough roads, and high mileage. A worn steering box can cause excessive steering-wheel play, wandering, difficulty turning, fluid leaks, or a loose and unresponsive steering feel.
