Description

Your GM 6.6L Duramax LMM relies on accurate exhaust temperature readings to help manage its emissions system and diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration cycles. When an exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensor fails, it can cause a check engine light, diagnostic trouble codes, emissions system problems, or reduced power. Depending on which sensor fails, it may also contribute to poor fuel economy or improper DPF regeneration. XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensors replace the factory sensors, monitoring exhaust temperatures and sending that information to the engine's computer (ECM) to help manage emissions system operation. Manufactured to meet original equipment specifications, these XDP sensors are designed to fit directly into their respective factory locations. Both provide replacement options for restoring accurate exhaust temperature readings, while the rear XD1060 features materials designed to withstand the high heat and vibration of the exhaust system. IMPORTANT SENSOR NOTE: Two sensor locations are available. XD1036 is the front EGT sensor, located before the diesel particulate filter (DPF). XD1060 is the rear EGT sensor, located after the DPF (Position 2). These sensors are designed for different locations and are not interchangeable. Select the correct sensor location before ordering.
