Description

If your Ford Powerstroke is showing a check engine light, having trouble completing regeneration cycles, or experiencing reduced engine power, a faulty exhaust gas temperature sensor could be the cause. The XDP Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) Sensor XD1061 monitors exhaust temperatures and sends that information to the engine's computer (ECM). This helps the truck manage its emissions system and diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration cycles. When the factory sensor stops working properly, inaccurate temperature readings can interfere with regeneration and trigger diagnostic trouble codes. The XD1061 is designed to meet original equipment specifications for proper fit and function. It installs in the factory sensor location without modifications, helping restore accurate exhaust temperature readings when replacing a failed sensor.
