Noticing unusual coolant temperature readings or diagnostic trouble codes on your Duramax? The problem could be a failing engine coolant temperature sensor or a damaged electrical connector. The XDP Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor with Pigtail XD1044 is designed for GM 6.6L Duramax LML engines and includes both a replacement sensor and wiring repair pigtail. The sensor measures engine coolant temperature and sends that information to the truck's computer (ECM), helping it monitor engine operating conditions and respond to temperature changes. Sometimes the sensor isn't the only part that needs attention. Over time, the factory wiring connector can become brittle, loose, or damaged, causing poor electrical connections and unreliable readings. The XD1044 allows you to replace the sensor and repair the connector if needed, without purchasing the components separately. Built with high-quality materials for reliable sensor response, the sensor fits directly into the original factory location. The included pigtail can be connected to the existing wiring to replace a damaged connector. IMPORTANT FITMENT NOTE: The sensor is located at the upper front of the engine, next to the thermostat housing. Verify your engine and sensor location before ordering.
