Description
Not just a pretty face, this brake package for GM's will make sure that no matter the load behind you, or the obstacle in front of you, your truck WILL STOP! This kit is available in either slotted or drilled AND slotted rotors, and with black or red calipers. TC6R rear axle disc brake kits with 16" rotors are the ultimate big brake solution for highly customized and modified trucks upgraded to larger than stock wheels. TC6R kits can fit many 20"and larger wheels (Verify your wheel interior clearance to the wheel clearance diagram in the installation instructions before purchase). TC6R kits replace the factory disc brakes and use the OE parking brake assembly as a compliment to front big brake upgrades. TC6R calipers, BP-10 compound pads, and oversized rotors are matched to the OE master cylinder output, ABS function, and individual vehicle bias requirements of each vehicle. These combined enhancements provide the necessary control over big wheels and tires to provide safe stopping on heavy weight vehicles. NOTE: Brake kit does not include flex lines. Flex lines are necessary to complete the installation of the kit, which are available above. NOTE: Fits axle with 4.84 center register only.

About Wilwood Engineering, Inc.
Most truck owners have the drive to drastically increase the horsepower of their engines, add substantially larger tires, but few realize the impact that this has on the vehicle's ability to stop. With so many trucks blasting past the 700 RWHP mark and running 40" or larger tires, its becoming increasingly apparent that getting these trucks to stop is becoming more of an issue. Now throw 15,000 pounds or more behind them and there can be a serious issue. This is where Wilwood Engineering comes in.

Wilwood Engineering designs and manufactures high-performance disc brake systems. Since their founding in 1977, they have developed a substantial matrix of brake components and engineering techniques that allow them to quickly and reliably create brake systems for almost any application. Their core ability is the rapid development of custom engineered brake systems using a combination of off-the-shelf and custom components. In addition to designing and manufacturing brakes for all types of competitive motor sports, Wilwood also manufactures brake systems and components for agricultural equipment, industrial applications, utility vehicles, snowmobiles, quads, motorcycles and military vehicles.

Wilwood employs approximately 250 people at their Camarillo, California facility. They have on-shelf stock of over 300 different brake calipers, 200 rotor designs, 100 master cylinder designs and a wide assortment of brackets, fittings, valves and brake lines. Wilwood's off-shelf brake calipers range in size from tiny calipers used on go-carts and light duty industrial equipment, to heavy duty original equipment brakes for the U.S. military Humvee.

The engineering department at Wilwood uses the latest computer aided design and manufacturing techniques in conjunction with finite element analysis, dynamic test and cycle test equipment, to find high-performance and reliability solutions to the most difficult braking tasks. The extensive inventory of proprietary on-the-shelf components at Wilwood permits them to provide very cost-effective solutions to unique brake applications.

Wilwood is ISO 9000 compliant and has extensive experience maintaining quality levels of 100ppm or less for original equipment manufacturers.

Best brakes ever!

"Night and day difference on my Duramax’s braking power! Highly recommend"

Q&A

Do you have upgraded brakes that would work with OEM 16" wheels on an 03 Silverado 2500 HD? Or a bigger brake kit that would fit OEM 18" wheels?
Nothing like that Willwood kit unfortunately. We have upgraded rotors and pads that would fit stock. Shoot us a call. -Sands
For heavy duty towing, would slotted be better or drilled and slotted?
I would recommend slotted for heavy towing. Drilled rotors are good on track applications were the rotor experiences longer periods of heat. But heating and cooling then heating and cooling would not suit a drilled rotor, higher potential for cracking.-Sands
