Increase the performance and overall drivability of your factory GT37 turbo with this simple, effective upgrade....the Wicked Wheel2! While the 6.0L Powerstrokes are known for having quick turbo response due to their Variable Vane design, the overall responsiveness and drivability can be drastically increased with this simple billet compressor wheel upgrade. IMPORTANT NOTES: This turbo has a standard right hand thread - meaning you turn the compressor wheel to the left to loosen. No need to torque the Wicked Wheel on. Simply snug the Wicked Wheel until it fully seats. It will self-tighten to full torque. The Wicked Wheel is balanced at the factory. Turbo balancing after installation is not necessary. Before Ordering Since 2005-2007 turbos can be installed in 2003 trucks if the pedestals are used, you need to be sure what wheel/ turbo you actually have. When turbo re manufacturing facilities rebuild the 05-07 turbos, they almost always cut the compressor cover to clean up damages and scratches and then install 03 compressor wheels. This is a VERY common practice. Even turbos bought from Ford for an 05-07 truck will most likely have an 03 wheel installed. If your turbo has ever been out of the truck for repair, or you bought your truck used and don't know the history, you must measure the inducer of the compressor wheel before ordering. The 03 style wheel measures about 59mm and the 05 style measures about 56mm.

What is the difference between w.w. 1 and 2? I have a new Garret 03 turbo. My truck is a 2005 f-250. Is the early build turbo a better turbo performance wise? Would I notice a power increase if I installed a pedestal, 03 turbo with wicked wheel2? I read mixed reviews. Besides the 10 vrs. 13 tooth count and diameter, and louder whistle. I noticed the actual shape of the vanes differ. Early build vanes are longer in design with less ramp or curvature. plus they're physically larger. Early build vanes are 1/16' to 1/8"" taller. so, will that hurt or help performance? Typically you don't want heavier components (parasitic drag, rotational mass) in rotating components if you're trying to achieve HP or spool up times? What's your opinion?
The performance gain if any will be negligible vs the 2005 turbo with a Wicked Wheel2. The 03 turbo will have better top end but suffer a little low end.
