Description
Increase the performance and overall drivability of GTP38R turbo with this simple, effective upgrade....the Wicked Wheel2! How can you make the overall boost, power, and throttle response improve on an already proven ball-bearing platform, such as the GTP38R? Easy, add a billet Wicked Wheel2 compressor wheel for lightning fast spool up and reduced smoke! IMPORTANT NOTES: This compressor wheel is ONLY for the GTP38R, which is not the factory turbo found on the 7.3L Powerstroke engines, rather an upgraded model. If you have a factory, original turbo (GTP38) please see the Related Products section for alternatives. This turbo has a standard right hand thread - meaning you turn the compressor wheel to the left to loosen. No need to torque the Wicked Wheel on. Simply snug the Wicked Wheel until it fully seats. It will self-tighten to full torque. The Wicked Wheel is balanced at the factory. Turbo balancing after installation is not necessary. Before pulling off the compressor cover, the compressor cover can rotate 360 degrees. To eliminate you having to find the right index again after re-assembly, using a marker, mark a line across the break in the separation joint in the cover in two different spots. When you re-assemble the housing, you simply line up your old lines and you will save yourself a lot of time.

  • This turbo has a standard right hand thread - meaning you turn the compressor wheel to the left to loosen. No need to torque the Wicked Wheel on.
