Volant Filter Box: Cross-link polyethylene filter box is engineered to specific design. It insulates and protects the filter from pulling hot air from the engine compartment, thus, increasing horsepower.
Volant Air Duct: Cross-link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the engine a less restrictive air pass to breathe. Larger diameters, unique bends and smooth transitions gives you maximum horsepower and awesome throttle response.
Volant Ram Filter: Cleanable and reusable high grade filter media reduces air restriction and increases engine output. Precision pleat geometry optimizes airflow throughout the intake system.
Optional Volant PowerCore Filter: 99.99% efficient at removing dirt. Better than any other filter on the market. Yet it still flows more air than paper and doesn't need oiling like a cotton/gauze filter. The fluted design and nano-fiber technology used in the PowerCore, makes it maintenance free and lasts 100,000 miles before you need to replace it.

Not all intake systems are the same and savvy customers know which ones make more power than others. This is why Volant Cool Air Intakes are extremely popular with customers who know intake systems. What's the difference? Volant Cool Air Intakes take a different approach to making power. Volant seals a conical, high-flow air filter in a box that has more air volume than factory units. This process also eliminates any chance of hot air from contaminating the intake charge to the engine.
Other intake systems use metal heat shields to block hot air but not all of it is eliminated. With the hood closed and the engine at normal operating temperatures, open element systems ingest hot-engine heat. In fact, recent tests have shown that some electric fans actually blow hot air into the intake on those systems using a heat shield. Any time air intake temperatures begin to read 100 degrees and higher, the engine's ECM begins to take away ignition timing and power is dramatically reduced. The PowerCore air filter is the most revolutionary on the market. Manufactured by Donaldson to Volant's specifications, the PowerCore uses advanced Ultra-Web NanoFiberSM technology. This material is a high-quality synthetic, that won't deteriorate as easily as traditional paper element and cotton/gauze filter media, while also providing vastly improved filtration up to 99.99%. In addition, it's water resistant and NEVER NEEDS OILING! The PowerCore works by directing air into the front of the filter, where it is channeled into its fluted design. The channels are alternately sealed, allowing air to enter through an open flute and forcing it to exit out an adjacent flute. This allows the air to be filtered in one pass through the Ultra-Web NanoFiber media with less restriction, allowing clean air to enter your engine for increased airflow and higher filtration efficiency.
