Description
This TPS Bracket is used for the 1989-1993 Dodge Cummins Automatic Transmission trucks. We recently found that in order to get the TPS bracket and intermediate shaft from Dodge you were required to purchase the whole throttle bracket and linkage assembly which was extremely expensive due to the Mopar logo on the box. Reaching upwards of $1600, to get the factory stamped bracket and plastic intermediate shaft. This product was designed to be a fraction of the cost and is made of full billet aluminum for the bracket with a billet steel intermediate shaft so it will look good all the time and you can't break it. So if you are looking for positive lock up on your transmission as well as crisp kick down on your Transmission or are even looking to upgrade to an electronic controlled transmission that requires a TPS input this is a must have item.

Fitment

"When bolted to the stock ve44 pump, it bolted up fine but the intermediate shaft would not line up to fit. Had to drill the three bolt holes larger to allow for adjustment so the intermediate shaft would drop in properly. When tightening down the TPS, had to install spacer washers as the intermediate shaft was too long and was binding the throttle. Intermediate shaft has no adjustment like the stock shaft for setting the low voltage bias just off 0v. Had to relearn the TPS to the TCM. Finally got it to work, but needs some refining."

Had to grind on pin

"Had to grind on pin it was too long also the bolt holes for the sensor mount had to be tapped out to correct size. Other than that it’s great."

Helped a lot with my overdrive problem. Old s. . .

"Helped a lot with my overdrive problem. Old stock plastic adapter stripped out and I had to keep adjusting it everyday so my overdrive could work properly. I tried to find a new stock one but it was was too expensive through dodge. With the new metal one I shouldn't have to worry about it stripping out. Nice product"

Q&A

Hello Can you tell me what specific year TPS will work with this TPS bracket? Or even have a part number you recommend for the TPS. I have a customer that is using a NAPA 2-19233 sensor which he states come back as a 96 Dodge but it is sweeping incorrectly (backwards) Below is the part number from the TPS bracket mount I'm referring to. I guessing it should be the early TPS? Thank you for your help. QUICK SHIP SKU #: DPP-TPS8993 VE PUMP TPS BRACKET FOR AUTOMATIC 89-93 DODGE 5.9L CUMMINS
Hello Dan, this TPS bracket will fit on 1989-1993 Dodge Ram's with the VE injection pump.
I purchased one of these a few days ago. Now I am at a loss of what TPS to put into it. I have a 4BT which I am planning to use a Chevy 4L80e transmission. The transmission needs the TPS. Do you have a recommendation. The 89-93 TPS for thecummins model do not look like they match.
What pump is on the 4bt? Rotary VE pump or the inline P-pump? There are some other less common pumps also. But this bracket should work on a rotary style VE pump with a TPS from that generation truck. -Sands
