Description
The hydraulic assemblies designed for the 1998-02 trucks will come with an adjustable arm, allowing for pedal/engagement adjustment, where as the kits for the 1994-97 trucks will have a fixed rod. You can use the adjustable rod (98-02) on a 94-97 valve, but it requires the removal of the neutral safety switch, which is obviously a safety concern. IMPORTANT NOTES: If you have an early 1998 12 valve, you will need the kit for a 1998-2002 due to the newer cab style. 1994-1997 version commes with a fixed, non-adjustable rod 1998-2002 version has an adjustable rod Both year ranges are a twist lock style at the clutch master cylinder. From the factory, the 1994-1997 models are a twist lock where the 1998-2002 are a two bolt design from the factory. If your 1998-2002 still has a two bolt design, you will need to source an adapter separately.

About Valair Clutch
SHOP VALAIR CLUTCHES AND CLUTCH PARTS AT DPP!

When we at Diesel Power Products started shopping around for a diesel clutch manufacturer to showcase, we had a lot of choices. It soon became clear that one company offered the combination of quality, durability, customer service, price and integrity that we were looking for. Valair Clutch has not failed to live up to our expectations.

Valair started as Vallance Remanufacturing in Mineral Wells, Texas, about 60 miles West of Fort Worth, in the early 1990s. The company concentrated on rebuilding clutch assemblies for heavy trucks and agriculture. The location allowed Valair to keep cost low and supply the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as the local areas with quality replacement parts.

In 2004, Valair addressed an interest in the performance clutch market for high horsepower diesel trucks. Research and development started to source the parts for these applications. Valair was already building clutches for most OTR trucks capable of holding up to 2250 ft. lbs torque and was adapting these principles from these OTR clutches into a smaller package for ¾ and 1 ton trucks.

After two years of R&D, Valair's ˜Performance Series Clutches were marketed to the diesel truck enthusiast who wanted a quality high performance clutch at a reasonable price. All of these clutches are assembled in Mineral Wells, Texas from the highest quality parts available and are now being sold all over the World.

Whether you are looking for a stock replacement, towing clutch, or a high performance clutch for sled pulling or drag racing, they have just the clutch for you.

I feel ripped off.

"I got the vallair clutch master kit only to find out it didn't fit my original bracket. I had to shell out another $125 to make it fit. So I'm out $500 for a freakn clutch master cylinder."

Works

"Works as they should. Only downside is there are no instructions"

Robert P. (4/5)

Mater cylinder

"Didn’t come with spacer to tighten up the master into thebracket on firewall, I’d like one of those. Honestly"

Jake K. (5/5)

Worst slave cylinder ever

"I would never tell anyone to buy this product. I bought this product due to i bought a Valair Clutch. Everyone said they were great for towing. Had problems from the start. The bd slave comes with everything new. Diesel power products did more than valair. Diesel power products was great to deal with valair was the worst to deal with. I will never buy anything from them again. But i will always order from these guys. Bought a bd hydraulic kit truck has never shifted this good."

Jeremy (1/5)

Lasted two weeks.

"It was in the truck for two weeks before all four locking tabs sheared off and the master cylinder fell through the fire wall and into the engine bay while driving. The factory hydraulics have a lighter pedal too."

Cole S. (1/5)

Super satisfied

"Awesome product. It eliminates the painstaking task of bleeding the system, and this brilliant factor makes it worth every cent. The line is shorter than the OEM component, but the slave and master cylinders swivel, thus making installation easier and allowing for a more direct route along the firewall and down to the transmission."

Ryan (5/5)

Yes, i would buy again.

"I received the product quicker than expected. It came primed with fluid and was ready to go. The whole thing is assembled from the seller. It fit as described, and works well. My truck is a 12 valve 1998 one ton and the fuel is turned up a little, so I don't have any upgrades that would cause it bleed-by that quickly. I put an aftermarket master/slave cylinder about 5000 miles ago, and it started bleeding off about 3 months after I bought it, and I decided I need to buy a product that will not fail after 3 months. I don't put that many miles on my truck a year, mostly short drives around the farm, and town. In other words, I mash the clutch quite a bit. At first, I was hesitant because of the price was higher than something from the other places, but this combination was ready to go, and it does not leak by like every other one I have bought. I shopped around online and found this set-up as the better value. Who knows, I may need to upgrade to a stronger clutch/pressure plate someday soon, I think this will help with that too."

Wendy D. (5/5)

Yes, these units will come pre-filled/bled and ready for install.
Can i use a 98-02 kit to my '97 truck due to the adjustable master rod option with bypassing the neutral safety switch or the master cylinder, even if it is switch in style and not bolt on the bracket , is longer than the stock one and the 94-97 hd one so won't let me to set it?
It requires some work, too much to type out. Shoot us a call. -Sands
