Description
The Organic Single Disc Clutch Kit from Valair is designed for those looking to replace the troublesome dual mass flywheel design that is featured on these trucks from the factory with a more reliable solid flywheel design. The Organic Kit is designed to handle power levels from stock up to 400 horsepower and moderate towing. For those looking for a clutch capable of higher power levels or heavy and frequent towing, we recommend upgrading to one of Valair's Street Dual Discs as these will afford the best street and towing manners on the G56 transmissions.
More: Organic/Organic: Typically considered a "stock" clutch both in the way it feels, and in cost. Aftermarket organic clutches are generally better than the OEM clutch you get from your dealer. This is due to the better quality materials used and the quality of the manufacturing process and QC. Some companies also offer higher plate loads as options to the standard plate thus giving the clutch better holding ability. (Suited to trucks without power modifications).

When we at Diesel Power Products started shopping around for a diesel clutch manufacturer to showcase, we had a lot of choices. It soon became clear that one company offered the combination of quality, durability, customer service, price and integrity that we were looking for. Valair Clutch has not failed to live up to our expectations.
Valair started as Vallance Remanufacturing in Mineral Wells, Texas, about 60 miles West of Fort Worth, in the early 1990s. The company concentrated on rebuilding clutch assemblies for heavy trucks and agriculture. The location allowed Valair to keep cost low and supply the Dallas/Fort Worth area as well as the local areas with quality replacement parts.
In 2004, Valair addressed an interest in the performance clutch market for high horsepower diesel trucks. Research and development started to source the parts for these applications. Valair was already building clutches for most OTR trucks capable of holding up to 2250 ft. lbs torque and was adapting these principles from these OTR clutches into a smaller package for ¾ and 1 ton trucks.
After two years of R&D, Valair's ˜Performance Series Clutches were marketed to the diesel truck enthusiast who wanted a quality high performance clutch at a reasonable price. All of these clutches are assembled in Mineral Wells, Texas from the highest quality parts available and are now being sold all over the World.

Bad Pilot Bearing
"The clutch kit has been installed less than a month when it started having noise from the pilot bearing. We installed for a customer, who is not happy spending as much money as he did and having noise. We removed the transmission to inspect and found the clip that holds the pilot bearing together had broken, replaced it, and now there is no noise. The warranty has to go through Valair, which means there is no warranty. Unfortunately, the customer is out more time without their truck and we are buying the warranty part out of pocket (plus the labor). It looks like others have the same problem both here and with other retailers. I hope Valair can fix this issue in the future and that Diesel Power Products can hold their retailers to a higher quality control."
