Its just smoother. . . .

"Installed on a 2015 Duramax 3500 LML. Using a Mini maxx 2 on tow/haul setting, work truck. The assessment is from my wife. . . "Its just smoother" (when standing on the skinny pedal) I installed this along with a Banks inner cooler, so the stand on it performance assessment is on the combination of both. The bracket retaing bolt is 5/16 12pt, you can't see the bolt. Use the hightest quality socket you can get, there is a hold breath moment until the bolt snaps free while loosening. If i do this again I'd use some cold shock spray on the bolt. After the bolt and bracket was removed, installation was simple. High quality product."

Lmm turbo

"Turbo definitely does not look like the one in the picture that I thought I was purchasing. It had no serial numbers or and part number any where in the turbo. It has no vane position sencer, so I'm not sure how it's a complete drop in replacement. The paint is shinny in some spots and dull in others and it has no name brand on it anywhere. It was a Garrett turbo in the picture of my order but thing thing looks like it was purchased from Walmart. Not happy with the product and I paid for 2 day shipping but got it in 4. Great job turbo time. Not a life time customers of these parts or service."

Lightning Bolt VGT solenoid

"Just came across this last week. Definitely worth it. There is a noticeable difference. If you want extra power in the low end, This is it. I would recommend it. My truck was programmed, cold air intake, 4” exhaust, and stock turbo. Installation was medium. Smaller hands would have helped. I did it myself."

"We had this 97 f800 with 8. 3 and 6spd to pull a 40ft goose neck. It was a dog empty and same loaded would take every thing it got to get up to 100km/hr empty. Loaded lucky to do 80 . . . . had our doubts this would do anything . . . . well boy were we wrong! This is a new truck now. Way quicker throtle response . Get up to a 100 with ease. No longer have to drop into third to make the hills loaded well worth it. The video is goin thru gears pulling 20 bales on 4o ft trailer . . . aprox 32000 lbs"

Q&A

Can I use an lbz style shifter and have the shifter buttons work properly
Great question! Just adding a LBZ shifter would not be enough for the shift buttons to work appropriately. A tap-shift kit would be required along with TCM tuning so the button presses can be converted to the appropriate shift command.
Can I use this conversion kit in a stage 2 tranny?
It may be possible to run this in a built transmission but it would be best to check with your trans builder first.
Can the TCM be prepped for the addition of a Tap Shifter on my 02 Duramax? It would be nice to add the Fleece plug n play tap shifter at the same time.
So far they have not been able to adapt the tap shifter with the 6 speed conversion, they are still working on that capability.
will the 11-16 duramax vgt solenoid from lightning bolt usa fit an 05 lly duramax?
They will not, that is a completely different platform, I do not carry a turbo solenoid for the 2005 year models.
Video says it fits 04.5-16, but you guys say on the website it only fits 11-16. Does it fit 04.5-16 or 11-16?
