1. Does TS Performance offer a variety of programs?
Yes TS has power levels available for both towing and racing. For towing TS recommends either the 50hp or 75hp setting. The 100hp or the 140hp extreme for those that want lots of horsepower.
2. Will I notice a difference in power?
Yes, the power you feel will be immediate.
3. Does the TS Performance chip make changes to an automatic transmission?
Not only does the addition of the chip increase power and torque but it also firms up the shift points. Firmer shifting that will allow your truck to slip into gear not slam into gear.
4. Are the TS Performance chips difficult to install?
The TS chip is easy and simple to install. It simply slides into your computer for a secure fit. No taping required. TS's step by step instructions are sent out with your chip purchase.
5. What information needs to be provided to TS Performance for a chip order?
The year of your vehicle ( example early 99 or late 99), and if you have CA or federal emissions, so the chip will function correctly. It is not required to provide a PCM code, but it is recommended, to ensure that the tuning written for your truck is accurate.
6. What are the advantages of installing a TS chip over other brands?
A) The TS chip does not leave the 605 computer code in your PCM that can be detected.
B) If your computer is reflashed by the dealer no need to worry. This chip operates off all four pages of the computer. Simply plug your chip back in and your power is there.
C) The chip can be transferred from truck to truck as long as it is the same year. ( for example an NVK4 can be used in a PMT2 )
7. Can I expect better fuel mileage with the TS Performance chip?
With all the TS Performance horsepower chips in almost all cases a 2-4 mpg increase has been reported. This of course will depend on the user's driving habits.

- For 1994 Powerstroke trucks, you would need to make sure the truck has a 12A650 ECM.

- In the description, it says it can be transfered between vehicles of same year. I found one used so I have no idea of original vehicle installed into. What do I have to do?
- To know if it is compatible with your vehicle, you would need to know what vehicle it was originally programmed to. If it was not programmed to the same tuning code as your vehicles PCM code, it will not work.
- What is the high idle rpm?
- That is going to be one of the options on the tuner, that will raise the idle RPM higher for warming the truck up faster in colder climate, also if the truck has any PTO driven accessories.
- How will the ts6 chip improve shift points in my manual transmission? My dad has this chip in his ‘99 automatic and there’s a definite difference in power… how will I see a difference in power in my ‘00 when it has a zf6?
- The biggest thing is the obvious increase in power that is made available with the installation of the chip. Many have reported improved shifting characteristics in a manual transmission, such as yours, due to the increase in power causing the lag between shifting gears and coming back on the throttle to not be as noticeable.
- I plugged my tuner in and it works great but it has been draining my battery when it sits for a few days, wondering why it would be doing that.
- If its just the basic 6 Position Chip, I can't personally see how it could be responsible for draining the battery being its only plugging into the PCM. If you went with a kit that also adds an OBDII monitor, like an Edge Insight, then I can definitely see how that could be causing the issue. If when you installed the TS, you removed the battery cables, I would start there and make sure they're obviously clean and tight. Secondly, you could double check that the chip is fully inserted into the PCM and everything is plugged all the way in. Lastly, if you did install an OBDII monitor, try unplugging it when the truck is parked and see if the problem persists or not. If so, you could add a power switch for the monitor to tie it directly to a key-on.
- Will this work on a completely stock 2000 f250 or would I need injector upgrades
