Forget Air Bags and Get These!
"I bought these Timbren Severe Service SES Rear Suspension Bump Stops for my 2007 Ram 2500 Mega Cab for hauling my 1350 lb in bed camper. Before installing, on my stock rear suspension, I had severe body roll! I would hit a bump or pothole and the camper would sway back and forth and wouldn't recover for about 10-15 seconds. I then upgraded to a Carli Suspension System this last fall, adding the rear add-a-pack leaf springs which replaces the overload spring with 5 thinner, more flexible leaf springs and Fox 2. 0 shocks. Knowing I would have an even a softer suspension, I decided to order these bump stops when hauling my camper or heavy loads, as I did not want to go the air bag route. Wow, am I impressed! Not only do these significantly improve the ride with my camper, they are stupid fast to install. Once the bumpstops were assembled, it took about 10 minutes total to remove the factory bumpstops and replace them with the Timbrens. I do have to mention, these improved the body control when hauling my camper, however, it does ride a little rougher now when I hit a pothole or a bump. Installing these, basically cancels out the Carli rear suspension upgrades I made. It is not terrible, but there is a noticeable difference. It is still better than a stock rear suspension with the overload spring installed, and you have complete control of the load you are hauling. No more swaying truck in the wind either! The really cool thing about them, when I am done hauling the camper, 10 minute swap back to the factory bump stops, and I am back to my soft riding Carli suspension. I highly recommend these if you do not want to get air bags!!"
