DO I HAVE TO HAVE A COMPUTER TO DO THE INTIAL SETUP OR ONLY NEW UPDATES
You do not need a computer for the initial installation, no. As soon as you receive it, you can plug it right into your truck and install.
2001 Cummins 24v with 5 speed nv4500 would my stock clutch handle this tuner with my stock engine
Towards the higher end tunes depending on the health of your clutch you will run into slipping. It is typically recommended to convert over to a dual disk. With a single disk clutch, anticipate shorter life span of the clutch depending on driving style and the load behind the truck. -Mark
How would I use this with the EDGE JUICE WITH ATTITUDE CTS3 98.5-02 DODGE 5.9L CUMMINS. Trying to build my truck per the 400hp list. Still trying to work out the kinks. Thanks.
If there are plans to stack your programmers the S03 is a great option. It is recommended that you go with an Edge Comp/Drag box, TST PowerMax ( does not compensate for timing, use your S03 for adjusting timing) or other tuners that tap into your injection pump that allow you to increase pressures. It is advised that you turn the S03's to an even number power level (odd numbers add timing). The other chip will usually adjust for timing (when your injection event starts) and the duration (how long the injection event lasts) -Mark
When they say HEAVY TOWING what are they considering heavy?
Heavy towing would usually be anything about 10k pounds. -Sands

If you are looking for the most power. Turn it all the way up to level 9. Economy is usually level 5 with increased timing. But you will have to play around with the levels. Each truck reacts different and everyone has a little different driving style. -Sands
