Description
These couplers are made of heavy duty reinforced silicone and will help to stop the common leaking between the intake manifold and engine connections on your 7.3L Powerstroke. Use these couplers with the high performance intercooler tubes and hump hoses we offer for a leak free system. Available as shown or with 2 spring-loaded constant torque hose clamps. If your truck has a build date before 12/7/98 it is considered an early 99 and uses a different y-pipe coupler. Use the table below to select which model you need. Sold as singles. Please note if you are upgrading both connections on your y-pipe you will need to purchase two couplers. Model Years Truck Style Plenum Inlet Size Y-Pipe Coupler Size Notes Early 1994-1997 OBS F-Series 2.00" 2.00" x 2.00" Factory OBS intake plenums use 2-inch inlets. Late 1999-2003 Superduty 3.00" 3.00" x 3.00" Largest factory plenum inlet used on Late 1999-2003 trucks. How To Identify an Early vs. Late 1999 7.3L Powerstroke Early 1999 (E99): Built before December 1998 and uses approximately 2-3/8" plenum inlets. Late 1999 (L99): Built after December 1998 and uses 3" plenum inlets. Early 1994-1997 OBS: Uses 2" plenum inlets and corresponding 2" couplers. Because many 7.3L Powerstroke trucks have been upgraded with aftermarket plenums, intercoolers, or turbo systems, it is always recommended to physically measure the plenum inlet diameter before ordering replacement Y-pipe couplers.
