Description
CarbonTreat is the cure for a problem you may not know exists. That said, you probably have heard of injector failures and plugged fuel filters that is most prevalent in common rail (high pressure) fuel injection systems, right? CarbonTreat directly targets the root cause of most of these failures.Especially when subjected to extremely high pressures, such as those found in a common rail fuel system, diesel fuel has the tendency to form asphalthenes, as well as other unstable compounds, which will deposit anywhere they can, typically fuel filters and injectors. These deposits will inhibit fuel flow causing injectors to not operate as intended, leading to failure, as well as bottlenecks in the fuel filter itself (both robbing horsepower and overall efficiency). CarbonTreat contains highly concentrated, multi-functional additive systems to improve fuel economy, reduce exhaust emissions and increase horsepower. Further blended into CarbonTreat is a non-alcohol jet fuel deicer/water dispersant to remove moisture present in the fuel and prevent the formation of stable-fuel-water emulsions. Schaeffer's proprietary lubricity additive, SynShield provides added protection against fuel system wear and injector scoring for longer component life. Initially developed for newer model vehicles, CarbonTreat can be used in any diesel-powered vehicle and in all types of diesel fuel, including ultra low sulfur diesel fuel and biodiesel blends. CarbonTreat exceeds cleanup and keep clean performance as shown by the Peugeot DW10 Injector Depositing Test throughout the entire fuel system. CarbonTreat is registered and meets US EPA requirements for blending into low sulfur diesel fuels.

About Schaeffer's Lubricants
Diesel Power Products proudly carries Schaeffer's oil and lubricants. We only offer one brand of oil in our shop, the one we run in our own trucks. If you want the best oil, transmission fluid, grease or gear oil for your Powerstroke, Duramax or Cummins stop by or give us a call.

Lubricants were not Schaeffer's primary line of business at first. Production of axle grease grew out of soap and candle making. But by the mid-1800s, the wagons wheels of many travelers to the California gold fields were greased with Schaeffer's product. Eventually, the company became a full-fledged lubricant manufacturer and marketer. Now they are recognized as the highest quality product in the lubricant industry.

Schaeffer's offers specialized lubrication solutions to the following industries: Construction and Mining, Agriculture, Manufacturing, Over-The-Road Trucking, Marine, Automotive and High Performance Racing.

Great package. Light pedal, not grabby, OEM-like feel.

"Product is replacing my OEM clutch after 180,000 miles. Has a lighter clutch pedal, but isn't grabby. Seems like a good choice for my moderately modified 2000 F250 7. 3l Powerstoke."

Q&A

Ok. I have a Minn mas computer it on stock. How do I check for leaks with a pressurerised the system.
Typically you can rig up an adapter to fit on the front of the turbo and send it regulated air pressure I would not put more then 20 psi in it. And get a spray bottle of soapy water and spray down all the connections. Search Boost leak test for what ever truck you have. Someone will usually have posted a write up on it and what they used. -Sands
Hi I asked about the slight black smoke. It smokes when I accelerate or pull my boat. But during normal driving.
Depending on what tune it is, that could be completely normal. Some things to check woudl be, fuel in oil indicating over fueling. Make sure you go through and check for boost leaks that could be causing not enough air to go into the engine. -Sands
Hi I just purchased a Chevy 2500 diesel 6.6 2012. It's been deleted but it has a slight black smoke to it what can I do with it from smoking. Thank's
Does this happen at idle, or under heavy acceleration? If it's at idle, then a good injector cleaner may help clean up the smoke. If it is only under heavy acceleration and it is only slight smoke. That sounds normal depending on what the tune level is. -Sands
I'm not worried about the difficulty of installation as many of my work mates have offered to help me through the install, although I was wondering what all I should gather before attempting the install, as in a transmission lift, other tools, etc, and any tips or tricks that could help me out. Truck is a 2wd 2003
Installation is straight forward and basic hand tools can get the job done, I would suggest reading the installation manual from South Bend to familiarize yourself with the install. - AW
