Description
Need some peace of mind? A must-do upgrade for any 68RFE, whether it's a stock transmission or an upgraded one, is to maintain the correct fluid level, as a loose or dislodged filter can lead to complete transmission failure. The stock screw is made of cheap plastic and cannot be adequately tightened to prevent loosening over time. If over-tightened, the plastic screw will break. It's recommended to replace the factory plastic screw immediately when purchasing a new or used truck, regardless of the mileage. The steel screw can be reused during each filter change.
