Dangerous deadzone
"Purchased in February 2025; it is now February 2026. I have experienced a significant and progressive loss of steering control from this steering box. Around September 2025, I began noticing a dead zone developing in the steering wheel. Since then, the issue has worsened to the point where there is now dangerously little to no steering response from the 12 o’clock position to approximately 4 o’clock. To drive straight, the steering wheel must be turned noticeably to the right. To rule out other causes, I have had the vehicle professionally aligned and have replaced the tie rods and drag link. Despite these repairs, the steering issue persists, strongly indicating an internal failure of the steering box itself. Given the short time in service and the severity of the failure, this appears to be a premature defect. After further research, I have also found multiple reports online describing similar failures of this steering box within months to a year of installation. At this point, the vehicle is unsafe to operate. I am hesitant to attempt any adjustment to the steering box, as I do not want to risk voiding any existing warranty. I am seeking guidance on warranty coverage and next steps for repair or replacement."
