Description
Its really not a matter of if, but when. The factory tie rods on your IFS (Independent Front Suspension) equipped Duramax are the weak link in your truck and are destined to fail. And no its not your fault, its just the fact that the tie rods are responsible for heavy duty usage and they're not up to the task. When you're ready to either prevent this kind of failure or need to fix a bent or broken tie rod, this Extreme Duty kit from Proforged will ensure you'll never have to worry about them again, even on lifted applications with big tires. Featuring a heavy duty, greasable construction with an impervious e-coating for rust protection, you'll be happy you made this upgrade.

About Proforged Steering & Suspension

The steering and suspension parts on your truck take the most abuse out of any component as they are constantly having to react to the varying conditions on the road. From the factory, the components are built as wear items, knowing full and well that they will degrade at least within 100,000 miles on a stock truck used for light duty purposes. As lift kits and larger tires are installed, coupled with more heavy duty use such as offroading, snow plowing, or frequently hauling heavy loads, these components will wear out exponentially faster. When it comes time to replace these components, why not replace with components that are far superior to the pieces being removed?

Proforged specializes in designing and building components that are designed to take a beating and at a price that's easily comparable to lesser quality original equipment replacements. This is accomplished by developing new products that are designed using the latest CAD programs and prototypes are validated through hardness testing, microstructure analysis, surface finish examination, and roundness testing. Further, they ensure application suitability through extensive tensile and elasticity strength testing, stud pullout testing, stud impact testing, salt spray tests, and cycle testing for durability.

The result is a finished product that is superiorly strong, durable, and free of defects exactly what todays performance enthusiast demands.

Quick shipping

"Shipped lightening fast. Quality well built product. It will still have to stand the test of time but it appears to be quite stout. The price was unbeatable when compared to competitors. Very happy with this purchase!"

2001 Ram 1500 OFFROAD

"This is a great heavy duty adjustable track bar. Pretty easy to install, but old one was hard to get out of frame rail end. My axle end used a M14x2. 00x67. 50 bolt and the bushing was 14mm also. I had some concerns, but this fit my truck even though it isn’t a 2500/3500."

Thaddaeus D. (4/5)

Nice part for the price

"Needed a new track bar for the lift I installed and this was just what I was looking for. Strong and durable"

Landry C. (5/5)

Look out deer

"Ever run over a deer and bend your track bar? If so you might end up buying one of these bad boys. Heavy duty, nice black finish, fits well. Says it’s stronger than stock… Look out deer, I’m back on The road."

Q&A

Will this a diesel model
That track bar will fit the diesel 2500/3500 yes.
Hi, do I need to measure the Old track bar before to install this one? Thank you
It's always recommended to go get an alignment after replacing your track bar. Measuring your old might get you close but it is still a good idea to get an alignment. -Mark
Good morning, Do you have to disconnect this model on one side to adjust? Looking at the picture I'm guessing that you will need to unbolt. Thanks, Neil
This track bar does require you to unbolt the trackbar from the truck to get the measurement and tighten the retaining jam nut down. -Mark
I think the stock track bar is 37 9/16” on 1997 ram 2500 4x4 Cummins. Can you tell me what range this track bar covers?
That information is locked up in the R-D department. They will work on stock height up to 4in lifted trucks. -Sands
Is this the same as the rare parts track bar?
They are very similar, have never been able to verify 100 percent. But physically they are identical. -Sands
