Description
The original factory engine oil pan on the 6.7L Powerstrokes were severely flawed. First of all, the original units were made of plastic, pretty obvious that wasn't going to work out long term, so Ford later changed at least to stamped steel. Ultimately, there is a better way, and PPE has corrected the issues with a big upgrade that comes to you in the form of this heavy duty finned oil pan. Cast from high-grade aluminum alloy and holding a full quart over stock, this pan is a perfect upgrade to the factory stamped steel or flimsy plastic versions. PPE has addressed the major issues associated with the original Ford factory oil pan. Deep external cooling fins radiate heat and help the engine operate at much cooler temperatures than the stock pan. Thanks to its thick, cast aluminum construction, external fins and the addition of side gussets, this easy to install upgrade is much stronger and runs much cooler than the stock units. The PPE Oil Pan Kit includes a hardened billet stainless steel drain plug which contains a powerful Neodymium magnet that attracts and holds ferrous metal particles, keeping them from damaging your engine's vital internal components.

PPE oil pan

"I own a 2011 Ford F 450 and a 2011 Ford 250. My plastic oil pan was leaking on both. Replaced it with the PPE oil pan. It was easy and it fixed the problem. Strongly recommend."

Great pan, heavy construction! I

"Great pan, heavy construction! I wish they went above and included a gasket instead of factory method of rtv."

Allison C. (4/5)

Great Replacement

"Nice pan. Stock pan was thin and had a drain plug that strips out easily. I needed to replace the stock pan in order to change my oil."

Darryl Z. (5/5)

Easy install dropped oil temps

"Easy install dropped oil temps 10-15 degrees"

David T. (5/5)

Good Looking Product!

"Looks good! Shop did install it while they where doing some other things to the truck, but I do feel that it is a major upgrade to stock plastic one!"

Floeting (5/5)

Good looking, great price

"Great looks and the best possible price out there. Not much I can do to my truck as I need to keep the warranty, this helps satisfy my need to wrench. Caution, inch pounds abs not foot pounds for torque. Don't ask me how I found out. Will be pulling a broken stud next oil change. Factory pan is a pita to get out. Gasket is like super glue."

Q&A

I have purchased your lower oil pan for my 6.7 psd can I use a gasket instead of high temp red silicon
Absolutely, that would work with both options.
Is this PPE brand as good as the Mag-Tec?
We have not see any difference in quality between the 2 different pans.
Will this pan need a new Oil pick-up tube to go along with it to adjust for the deeper pan
That Engine oil pan does not need a deeper pickup, the oem one will work just fine.
Does this pan come with a gasket.
It does not, it will need to be sealed with RTV. Ford has a recommended sealant for those applications that I would purchase and use. -Sands
I was looking at purchasing a drain valve after installing this oil pan. You purchase the drain plug valves based on what vehicle you are in stalling it on. Is the size and threading the same as the stock oil pan?
The drain plug that comes with is a stainless plug with a magnet. I would continue to use that one. If you really want to do a valve it would be the same as the stock thread. DppSands
