Description

If you're replacing the cylinder heads on a 7.3L Powerstroke and want more capability than a standard replacement head, this OEM-style cylinder head is a strong option for a performance-oriented build. It starts with a new casting and includes 155-lb performance valve springs rated for up to 4,500 RPM. The heavier springs help keep the valves under control as engine speed increases, making this head better suited for trucks that see higher RPM, increased boost, or other performance modifications. The head comes with pressed-in valve seats and a cupless injector bore design, eliminating the need for traditional injector cups. That means there are no injector cups to install or replace during the cylinder head installation, simplifying the job and removing a potential failure point associated with the factory-style cup setup. The upgraded valve springs also provide more spring pressure than an OEM-style setup, helping prevent valve float when the engine is pushed beyond its normal operating range.
