Connection issues
"The quick disconnect lines do not go all the way in to allow the clips to fully seat. They work but it’s not ideal. I hope the lines never pop off."

WrenchConnected is an independent installation marketplace operating in partnership with Diesel Power Products.
After checkout, we route your vehicle info and part SKU to verified installation shops near you. Local installers review the job and submit competitive bids; you pick the shop you want based on price, reviews, and availability. Your name and email stay private until you select an installer.
You pay for the bid from your preferred shop. The full amount is shown before you confirm — installers cannot add charges without your written consent. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
During bidding, shops see only your service ZIP code, vehicle year/make/model, and the part SKU — not your name, email, or address. Only the shop you select receives your contact details after payment. We never sell your personal information.

"The bypass works great. Transmission still reaches full operating temp but it take much longer. Also, seems to cool off much faster. Will definitely keep the heat out of your transmission. The inspection plug with magnet is an easy way to check for metal contamination without making a mess. Product is pictured as "Raw Billet" but showed up black. Not really an issue."
"Works great and had no problems"
"Ever since I installed this part my transmission temperature won't go over 144° with constant towing."
"Awesome product!"
"Front lines were extremely hard to snap in. After I finally got them in now they are leaking. Have to figure out what the problem is."
"Love the polished look"
"I just installed the PPE thermal bypass on my truck and just like Mroan8009's review, I had the same issues. Installation is pretty self explanatory, but the o-rings in the PPE thermal bypass were too thick for the transmission lines to go inside. I ended up having to get new o-rings that were the same size as the factory o-rings because one of the o-rings ripped when I was removing them from the factory part. Yes, I got covered in transmission fluid because I was trying to get the lines back in with the thicker o-rings. I will say it seems like it'll work out well, but installation is a pain when you're expecting a little mess and end up a huge mess and having to replace the o-rings just to get everything put back together."
"Great product, easy install, dropped trans temperatures 20 degrees. I’ve told everyone to get one"
"Saw all the reviews. Was excited to try it out. Sadly. I’ll be removing it and reinstalling the OEM part. Probably not the best idea for warm climates. Guessing the fluid doesn’t have enough time in the cooler to properly cool. Before installing, my trans ran right at 170 to 172f, pulling the heaviest grades with a 12 to 15k pound load in summer, it would get up to maybe 180 to 185f. With the PPE bypass installed. It climbed to 190f just driving on the freeway unloaded. Never have I seen that high of temp ever. So, now I’ll remove it and install the OEM thermostat back in it. Maybe a good idea for cooler climates but not a good idea for the hot so cal deserts. It was 115f ambient when testing. But that said the OEM tstat kept it at 170 to 172 when it was 122f ambient. Sorta bummed. Really liked the part. But guess it’s probably only because we have super hot summers. Part was nice. Well made. Really liked that it had a magnet anne plug. Install was easy. Just not good for my application due to environment."
