Description
The number one way to ensure the demise of your transmission is to allow it to overheat. And the number one way to keep transmission temperatures at bay is by upgrading the transmission pan. The PPE Heavy-Duty DEEP Brushed Transmission Pan for the Ford 6R140 has 7 quarts greater oil capacity over the stock pan, which results in lower operating temperatures and can help extend transmission life. Cast from high-strength aluminum for optimal heat dissipation, this PPE pan features internal baffles and external fins which transfer heat to keep your transmission running cool, keeping your operating temperatures in the right range.
Also included is a PPE Drain Plug machined from stainless steel, featuring a 17mm hex fitting for easy installation and removal. The PPE Drain Plug is fitted with a high-powered Neodymium magnet which extracts harmful ferrous metals out of your oil before they can do damage, and is easy to wipe clean during oil changes.

"Absolutely amazing. I needed more cooling for my transmission and this pan made that happen. Well worth the money and easy install."

"I bought the (raw) bare aluminum pan because the black painted one was not available. This however turned out to be better as now I was able to custom paint it myself, John Deere green. I recut the flat surfaces and it turned out beautiful. This pan is much larger (in volume) than the stock one and looks like it won't fit but it fit's great . Super quality well made product."

Q&A
- Does this need a filter extender? Is the filter low enough to the bottom of the pan?
- Your fluid level does not change at all when installing a deeper pan so a filter extender is not necessary although some pans come with one.
- 6R140 Trans: Does the PPE deep trans pan need, and or come with a deeper reach filter ? Will the transmission pressure solenoid increase trans temp, My 2018 F-450 trans temp gets to 242 degrees towing 16,000 lb 5th wheel on long uphill grades.
