Description
The number one way to ensure the demise of your transmission is to allow it to overheat. And the number one way to keep transmission temperatures at bay is by upgrading the transmission pan. The PPE Heavy-Duty DEEP Raw Transmission Pan for the Ford 6R140 has 7 quarts greater oil capacity over the stock pan, which results in lower operating temperatures and can help extend transmission life. Cast from high-strength aluminum for optimal heat dissipation, this PPE pan features internal baffles and external fins which transfer heat to keep your transmission running cool, keeping your operating temperatures in the right range. Also included is a PPE Drain Plug machined from stainless steel, featuring a 17mm hex fitting for easy installation and removal. The PPE Drain Plug is fitted with a high-powered Neodymium magnet which extracts harmful ferrous metals out of your oil before they can do damage, and is easy to wipe clean during oil changes.

Good and well done product

"Good and well done product"

Super stout and well made

"Very nice product, custom painted it Deere Green with shaved fins. Looks as if it too big to fit and clear cross member but, alas, it fits perfecto !"

ppe Tranny pan

"Put this on my 2015 F350 pickup truck. I have 192,000 miles on her and wanted to make sure I do everything I can to get high mileage out of this Trannie. I do run a delete kit, but always run it in the stock setting. I tow a lot on the interstate and didn't like seeing my Trannie temperature. getting up around 225. pulling sharp grade and 95 degrees plus outside temperature. I notice a difference in temperature drop of about 10 degrees, but only while towing heavy. After installing it now has a much better feel when it shifts thru the gears. I heard people say this and some say it's because of changing the fluid and filter. Maybe so but I have always changed the fluid and filter above average amount and never had it change the smoothness of the shift. I didn't change the pan because I had issues, I just changed it for the temp drop."

Timothy T. (5/5)

perfect

"Just what i wanted"

Tom G. (5/5)

Fits perfectly and should last my lifetime, but. . .

"Beautiful part. Everything is great with the pan, but I feel like it should come with something to lower the filter further into the pan. What's the point of having all this extra fluid if the filter pickup is right at the top of it?"

DAVID P. (4/5)

Pan is good, hardware. . . not so much

"Pan is solid. Directions say to tighten bolts to 22 ft/lb. Broke one off at 16 ft/lbs (torque wrench used). Now I get to drill out broken bolt."
