Description
Here's the cheapest insurance you can buy for your L5P Duramax! This drain plug from PPE solves two issues with the factory drain plug. First and foremost, the stock plug is made from cheap, soft metals that will round out over time, becoming extremely difficult to get out in the event it rounds out completely. Secondly, its not magnetic. Over time, your engine can begin to add small fragments of metal to the oil, and by having a magnet attached to the drain plug, you can rest assured that you'll be extracting those fragments from the engine at each oil change.

"The drain plug leaks with the copper washer included. Had to buy the metal/rubber washer to get it to stop leaking. It should be included as I know several others have had this issue. But once I changed the washer have had no issues and it’s in better shape than my OEM that was beginning to round."

"Did an oil change and the piece is solid with a strong magnet. Sadly I leaked oil in my driveway due to it not having a good seal with the copper washer. Went and got a o ring style washer and it fixed it. Was pretty upset when I walked to my truck and saw a good sized oil spill under this morning."

"It leaked with the included washer. I had to go to the local Oreillys and pick up a o- ring type washer which resolved the leaking issue. Should have been included to begin with. Otherwise it’s a nice looking drain plug with a magnet. . Everything I’ve purchased from PPE has always been quality. This drain plug is as well. Just needs a better gasket."
