PRXB stands for "Pressure Release Exhaust Brake." Basically, all exhaust brakes have to release a certain amount of exhaust, otherwise it would cause excessive backpressure to the engine and cause damage. However, PRXB's are unique in that they have a variable release so that as RPM's slow down, so does the release of exhaust, equating to better retarding power at lower RPM's. If you tow with your diesel and don't have an exhaust brake, you're simply missing out on the peace of mind and safety that it delivers.
