Description
The OEM rubber motor mounts on your Duramax-equipped trucks are great for light-duty use. When you start to add some power to your truck, or use the truck off-road, these rubber mounts can rip or start to fall apart. Motor mounts that rip or break will cause excessive vibration or engine shifting while driving. This vibration and shifting can cause damage to other engine components over time. These replacement LML solid motor mounts from Merchant Auto are a great upgrade for higher-horsepower engines. When it comes to motor mounts for your Duramax LML engine, you can choose from OEM rubber, performance urethane, or high-performance solid motor mounts. These solid motor mounts are going to give you the best performance and reliability for trucks pushing high horsepower numbers or spend a significant amount of time playing in the dirt. While these motor mounts fit 2011-2016 LML engine-equipped trucks, they are mainly going to be used in off-road/high horsepower setups. Solid motor mounts can cause a little NVH, noise/harshness/vibration, while at a stop, that is usually taken up by rubber or polyurethane mounts. Are My Duramax Motor Mounts Bad?To tell if you have a bad motor mount, take note of how your vehicle is running. With excessive vibrations being one of the key indicators of bad or worn motor mounts, it can be a little difficult to differentiate between engine mount vibrations and suspension vibrations. To check your motor mounts, pop the hood of your truck, have a friend rev the engine while in park, and look for excessive movement. If you notice the engine rocking back and forth more than usual, chances are, your motor mounts need to be replaced. While factory motor mounts will correct this, these MA Motor Mounts will be a superior replacement that offers longer-lasting and higher performing polyurethane bushings.

About Merchant Automotive
Merchant Automotive, LLC was founded in 2004 by Eric Merchant. Eric was a long time employee of GM dealerships before forming Merchant Automotive, LLC. Eric got his start in high school where he discovered his passion for anything with a motor. He took his passion and turned it into a career in 1993 working in a small shop doing brakes and alignment work. He accumulated knowledge daily and soon took a position at a GM dealership in 1995 and advanced up the ranks over the next 10 years. Along the way, Eric studied the business hard, taking over 3000 hours of GM training and maintaining ASE Master Certification since 1998.

In April 2008, Merchant Automotive moved into its current location in Zeeland, MI. The move was a huge undertaking that involved a complete remodel of the building. That building, having over 10,000 sq ft of space, has allowed for greater expansion and a large retail front.

Merchant Automotive staffs only professionals who have an intimate knowledge in all the Duramax/Allison platforms and are dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction. Merchant provides you with highly specific technical information not found anywhere else, and many of their products are custom designed and manufactured in-house to maximize the performance and reliability of your truck. The emphasis on product design and specialized manufacturing means that MA can offer you low pricing on products not found at other companies.
