Default Console option is Storage Cubby. If your truck originally had the compass/temperature display and you are switching to a cubby, you will have to re-wire the overhead lights. These trucks had a different harness for that display, which the lights then tee’d off of from a sub-connector on the display module. Since the module will be removed, you have to adapt or reconfigure the wiring to reach the lights with the module no longer present.
