Description
Are you in the need to rebuild your factory turbo in your 6.6L Duramax? If so, why not upgrade it while you are at it. This fully balanced turbo kit will not only rebuild your turbo, but it will upgrade it for higher flow, lower EGT's, and quicker spool up. This kit features the KC Turbos drop in GTX style billet compressor wheel with extended tips and a 11 blade single plane wheel that performs better than the stock dual plane design. The 10 blade Turbine design flows much more and reduces EGT's. Giving you a lot more on the top end performance. This will give you a very loud whistle sound! Some say it sounds like a jet engine.

"I went into this just expecting a little more out of my turbo. This job was a bit of a pain but needed to be done. Glad I did, it sounds stock at idle but as soon as you give it some go juice it sounds like a jet turbine spooling up. I have yet to stomp the throttle but so far it's nice."

- Will this work on this turbo BD Diesel 1045840 Duramax Screamer Turbo for 2004.5-2010 Chevy LLY/LBZ/LMM NEW If so I’m going to order
- It will not, those are going to be a slightly different platform.
- Do I still need to purchase the rebuild kit with this? Or does it come with everything I need to rebuild my turbo?
- When ordering this kit, if you select the "extreme 360" rebuild kit, it will be a full rebuild kit with the balanced assembly, you would not need any additional components.
- Does the wheel come balanced ready to install and can I use my stock compressor
- This DIY turbo kit does come pre balanced to work with a stock turbo. -Mark
