The ICON 2.5 Piggyback Centerline Steering Stabilizer has a unique through-shaft design that eliminates the push/pull sensation typically associated with traditional steering stabilizers. This results in more consistent damping and symmetrical steering feel throughout the input range. The stabilizer body is large with a 2.5-inch diameter and features a piggyback reservoir that increases fluid volume to prevent performance fade due to heat and cavitation. With this unit, you can expect a significant increase in steering damping, which translates into an improved driving experience with both stock size and oversized aftermarket wheels and tires. Additionally, the kit allows for increased steering travel compared to other aftermarket steering stabilizers. The stabilizer body shares components with ICON's proven 2.5 Series shock absorbers, making it fully rebuildable. The 2.5 Series features a 6061 hard anodized aluminum shock body for excellent corrosion resistance and a beefy 7/8” chrome-plated induction-hardened steel shaft. FK Rod End bearings provide precise function and feel throughout the steering range. The installation is 100% bolt-on, and you can use common hand tools. It should be an easy job for both professional mechanics and experienced DIY'ers.

SPECIFICATIONS:

After installation, cycle steering left and right to ensure full range of steering is achievable and stabilizer is installed correctly
Use ICON 1” front bump stop spacers, part # 61112 (included with kit), unless the suspension system that you are using calls for larger bump stop spacers. If using a non-ICON configuration, cycle the suspension to verify that the stabilizer does not make contact upon full compression.
Mounts over stock front differential cover, not compatible with most aftermarket covers.
Not compatible with aftermarket tie rods
Not compatible with 2008-2010 or 2015-2016 F-350 Dually equipped with Wide Track front axle
Not compatible with F-450/F-550
