There is a myriad of ways to destroy a camshaft, from oil starvation, absurd levels of boost or ignoring that redline that’s on the tach for a reason. Now, the factory charges near an old Dodge Neon for a factory cam replacement, Hamilton Camshaft offers OEM replacement at a fraction of the cost. Understand though, even per their own website, this is an OEM clone. No performance gains will occur, they are modeled after the same lift and duration as the factory piece. There are, however, small adjustments to materials and dimensions to promote longevity and reliability.

- I have a standard output 5.9 Cummins 2003 250hp. I am sure this cam would probably be for a H.O. 5.9, so I am not sure what grind cam would be in a S.O. Engine. Maybe this cam would help my engine on towing but I don’t know please advise.
