Terrible Camera/Image Quality
"I bought this backup camera as Edge has made it very difficult to use anything other than their camera. This kit comes with an analog to digital signal converter which is required when using a backup camera that utilizes video RCA cable (yellow plug). I attempted to look for an analog to digital signal converter and a cheap Amazon license plate camera, but couldn't find anything that would be compatible with the Edge CTS3. So I bit the bullet, paid the money, even despite all the terrible reviews. I will agree with everyone, this camera is not a $200 plus camera. I am extremely confident, that an Amazon license plate camera would do much better. However, as I mentioned, the analog to digital converter is one of the main reasons I went this route. The price that Edge charges for the converter itself, it just made more sense to get the kit. I will probably swap out the camera for an Amazon product later on. The image quality on this camera is terrible! It has terrible night vision. The quality is blurry and grainy. Couple that with the CTS3 not utilizing the full screen when displaying the image, and you have a really terrible product that is way overpriced. But, I spent the money and got it anyways. I needed something when hauling my truck bed camper which requires me to remove my tailgate and backup camera (tailgate handle camera). I needed something to see behind me when backing up with the camper loaded, so I could see if there were children or animals behind me. This camera works for that, but not much else. So, buyers beware!"
