The factory harmonic balancer in your 1st generation 12 valve Cummins is designed to absorb and remove unwanted vibration in the crankshaft. Balancers can fail and cause excessive vibration that you will feel inside the cab. Replace your failed harmonic balancer with a Cummins Replacement Harmonic Balancer. This balancer is designed to meet or exceed factory specifications and is a direct bolt on replacement for the factory balancer. This Cummins balancer bolts on using factory hardware and will absorb that unwanted engine vibrations.
