Beans Diesel Grid Heater Delete Plate 07.5-18 Dodge 6.7L Cummins
Description
The stock grid heater design on the 6.7 Cummins is horrendous. Unlike the predecessor (5.9L) that featured a wide mount grid heater block between the intake manifold and intake plenum, which was relatively the same inside diameter as the manifold, the 6.7L iteration is actually built into the intake plenum/plate that has almost an hourglass design, creating a major bottleneck of airflow into your cylinders. Especially for those in warmer climates that really don't need a grid heater, why not eliminate this huge restriction? This upgrade will deliver a large increase in airflow, especially to cylinders 4, 5, and 6.

- Living in Spokane, is our climate too cold in the winter for a grid heater delete?
- I have ran my 03 cummins without a grid heater for years. Although I do plug the truck in every night. It isn't consistently cold enough in Spokane to need one and your truck will start fine with or without one.
- Does this come with a gasket?
- This kit does not come with gaskets.
- Will this grid heater delete work for stick applications?
- You will end up with a check engine light for the grid heater on a stock truck. Other then that speed bump, it will work on a stock truck no problem. -Sands
