Rubs against stock 2 piece dampener

"Does not work with stock two piece dampener on 03 dodge 2500 5. 9L. Dampener plate rubs against cover and causes metal shavings. Sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Way too much money for something that doesn’t work exactly like it should."

It’s not a direct Bolton

"It’s not a direct Bolton and does not work with 2 peace stock dampener I needed to shave down the cover so the stock dampener would fit so it would not scrape against the cover"

Daniel G. (1/5)

Didn’t work

"It didn’t fix on my truck"

Q&A

With the concerns about the dampener, would you verify if the “fluidampr” 920301 would solve the rubbing issue? Although it doubles the cost of the job I prefer to do upgrades as I go so upgrading the dampener is fine, I just want to make sure it will work.
The Fluidampr should work fine with no clearance issues on this Beans front cover.
So should I stay away from this if I have stock damper? Wanting to replace my cover as the gasket is leaking.
These were designed to work with the stock damper, however there have been a few instances of the stock damper not clearing the cover. This issue has only been noted a few times and likely would not be an issue.
